Common questions

How does Verdew pick the day? It watches your local National Weather Service forecast and picks a dry, calm day in the task's window. It tells you the day before and the morning of. If the forecast turns, it moves the day and tells you why (tap Why today to see the reasons).

Do I need an account? No. Verdew works anonymously as soon as you set up your lawn. You can optionally back up with Sign in with Apple so your lawn follows you to a new phone.

How do I turn notifications on or off? Notifications are how Verdew reaches you, so allow them during setup. You can change them any time in the iOS Settings app under Verdew, and the Yard tab shows the current status.

How do I add the widgets? The Home Screen widget is in the widget gallery (long-press the Home Screen, tap Add). The Lock Screen line is added from the Lock Screen editor, in the slot beside the date (long-press the Lock Screen, Customize, then tap the date area above the clock).

How do I delete my data? Yard, then Delete my data. This permanently removes your account and everything in it, and revokes Sign in with Apple if you linked it.

How do I turn off usage and crash reporting? Yard, then turn off Share usage analytics. Nothing is sent after that.
